MVP Jimmy Rollins Scratched From Lineup With A Strained Right Calf

Most Valuable Player Jimmy Rollins has been scratched from the lineup tonight because of a problem with a strain in his calf. Even though Rollins is just thirty one years old, he has been a bit dangerous with a bat. That is talking about being dangerous to the other teams.

The All-Star shortstop had already been announced as the leadoff hitter during pregame introductions.

Rollins was injured while he running on the field shortly before the first pitch Monday against Washington. Juan Castro replaced Rollins.

Rollins is off to a fast start, batting .391 (9-for-23) with a .516 on-base percentage for the two-time defending National League champions.

The ability to draw walks is not uncommon for those batters who start to have a strong career. He is batting .391 this season and has a .516 on-base percentage. This particular player goes by the nickname “J-Roll”. He will be getting a MRI done on his ailing calf and will be out ofthe games for an undisclosed amount of time.
